Please Read [from The Huffington Post]

“In May, 2003, Boehner Cantor and McConnell all voted for the Bush tax cuts that added $350 Billion to the deficit and then voted to raise the debt ceiling on the same day with no demand for spending cuts. Those Bush tax cuts that Boehner, Cantor and McConnell voted for in 2001 and 2003 added $1.812 Trillion to the deficit just while Bush was in office. The Medicare Part D program that the Republicans pushed through Congress added $180 Billion just when Bush was in office. Bush started 2 wars and gave 2 tax cuts at the same time, the only President in history irresponsible enough to do so. Boehner, Cantor and McConnell all voted for the War in Afghanistan and Bush's war of choice in Iraq with no way to pay for them. Anyone who denies that those wars, those tax cuts and that Medicare Part D program aren't still adding to the deficit isn't being honest with themselves or with anyone they are discussing it with. Bush spent more in the WH than any other President in history, followed closely by Reagan. Republicans like Boehner, Cantor and McConnell didn't seem to mind that. Their VP told them that "deficits don't matter" and Orrin Hatch admitted that it was "standard practice not to pay for bills". If Republicans want to shut down the government, then let them. They will find that idea as unpopular as it was when they tried that phony stunt in 1995. But some people never learn. ”
