Health Care

This from the major political party that is constantly working to impose it's moral values on womens healthcare because as the claim their "faith" compells them to do it... The party that lays claim to the evangelical christians as it's core base. In the bible it talks about the life of Jesus Christ and is very specific about his teachings. From the time he is born until the day he is put to death on a Roman cross his message is about helping the poor and the meek... In that book there is a story of how he went out as a beggar to see how he would be treated. He was welcomed into the poor mans home and fed even as his host had not enough to last his family the week... He was spurned by the rich man when he sought shelter and food... There is something in there about how you treat the least of his people is the way you treat him.... How anyone of any denomination of christian could look at these policies and vote for these individuals is outragious. These same politicians are giving tax breaks to businesses and wealthy people that could easily allow for these people to get medicaid services. Ghandi once said your Christ is an interesting man who I have much respect for but your christians do not deserve that same respect.... That is a true statement... The Republicans

OMMUNITY PUNDITS photo msgirlintn 18 minutes ago ( 6:28 PM) 7641 Fans Become a fan Why are Republicans in the government at all? They don't believe in government. They think it should be "small enough to drown in a bathtub" unless a Republican is in the WH and they have the majority in Congress. Then they believe that "Reagan proved deficits don't matter". That might be because Reagan tripled the national debt and spent more than any President in recent memory Read More... If Republicans want cuts, then they should name them and they should be able to say if it will pass their caucus in the House or if they plan to filibuster it in the Senate. But they won't suggest anything because they know that cuts to the government will throw this country back into another Republican led depression. The President has compromised with Boehner at the expense of making many in his own party angry. But Boehner can't deliver the votes because he can't control his own caucus. Republicans should learn to govern. They should learn that compromise isn't a dirty word. They should care more about this country than their political futures.

Cuts in SS, Medicare and Medicade!?

1 minute ago ( 9:37 AM)
There is no doubt that every government program, including SS, Medicare and Medicaid could be trimmed in some way, or modernized, or funded differently at some point, but here is what the Republicans, and some Dems, don't seem to understand. If you cut SS, Medicare and Medicaid BEFORE you ask the rich to pay their fair share, or Congressmen to give up their lifetime pensions or multi-billion dollar corporations to give up their free government hand-outs, you are going to engender such resentment and anger on the part of the American people that the federal government might never recover. Oh, the U.S. government will go on, but it will be a different government, and with a few less Congressmen who voted for those cuts. The trust of the American people in their government was never the same after Vietnam and Watergate, and this could also be one of those watershed moments in the country's history.
