Fats Domino * It Keeps Rainin'

It Keeps on Rainin'

It keeps rainin' an rainin'
Tears from my eyes
Since you've gone
All I do is cry

Won't somebody help me?
Somebody help me
Can't you see
That my baby done left me

Myers for President * [that's high school president]

As you probably know by now, Minnesota resident dimwit Michele Bachmann has been challenged by high school sophomore Amy Myers to a debate on the Constitution, U.S. history and civics. Myers claims Bachmann continually misrepresents and distorts facts on civics for political gain. This is the basis for Myers's challenge. Facts are facts and Myers wants to put Bachmann to the test. I guarantee Bachmann will avoid a response at all costs. By the way, I will bet the family jewels on a clear cut victory for Amy Myers.

GOP House Members Propose Deep Cuts To Nutrition Programs

The R/TB are against abortion but for the slow torture and murder of children through malnutrition and poverty. It's a classic right-wing approach, always pick on someone smaller and more defenseless.

Tired * by Langston Hughes

I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two-
And see what worms are eating
At the rind.

"Langston Huges is a titianic figure in 20th-century American literature...a powerful interpreter of the American experince...His poems are as vital as ever."

American Blackout * WINNER * Special Jury Prize 2006 Sundance Film Festival

Whatever you think you know about our election systems or Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, this film will make you question further why the news media fails to accurately inform the public. Directed by GNN's Ian Inaba, creator of Eminem's "Mosh" music video, American Blackout critically examines the contemporary tactics used to control our democratic process and silence voices of political dissent.
Many have heard of the alleged voting irregularities that occurred during the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004. Until now, these incidents have gone under- reported and are commonly written-off as insignificant rumors or unintentional mishaps resulting from an overburdened election system.
American Blackout chronicles the recurring patterns of voter disenfranchisement from Florida 2000 to Ohio 2004 while following the story of Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. Mckinney not only took an active role investigating these election debacles, but has found herself in the middle of her own after publicly questioning the Bush Administration about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Immoral Profits Compliments of the Health Care Industry * [It's only 2.5 billion dollars]

Doctors Protest HMO Profits At Taxpayers' Expense
Health care professionals are demanding the H-M-Os return 2.5-billion dollars in profits they've made running the state's public health care programs. Medica, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, HealthPartners and U-Care, collectively, have those reserves sitting in their bank accounts. Pharmacist, Joel Albers, is organizing the protest and he told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that it is immoral for the H-M-Os to make large profits and keep them when the state is considering cutting health care to the poor and disabled. The Minnesota Council of Health Plans is the lobbying arm of the HMOs. They issued a statement in previous months saying they already are audited and are working toward more transparency with the Legislature and Governor Dayton.
