Take a few minutes and read the Huffington Post article on the textbook changes passed by the Texas School Board. The changes are nothing more than a pathetic attempt to rewrite history to validate the religious doctrine of the right.

The repeal of DADT is a welcome relief after the indefensible rhetoric of the R party and the so called pious religious right. The hatred, bigotry and outright lies displayed by these groups are appalling. Hopefully the repeal of this disasterous policy will restore some sanity to America. We can only hope................

I'm still in shock by the total capitulation by Obama on the Bush tax cuts. To make matters worse, the R handily defeated a $250.00 cost of living payment to Social Security recipients. No matter how you spin it, the R got everything they wanted. Unless there is something else blowing in the wind, the rich will be richer and the poor will be poorer. America, led by the religious right and the R has become the land of hatred, bigotry and hypocracy.

The Bush tax reduction set to expire January 1 will go down in history as one of the greatest scams ever perpetrated on the American people. The reduction in tax rates for the super wealthy is directly responsible for the financial fiasco we are now experiencing. The R are doing everything in their power to block the taxes returning to the previous rate for the wealthy. I believe the fate of the President's reelection will be decided on the outcome of the tax rate debate.
